Enterprise Insurance Inspires StudentsPosted Wed, 29th Jun 2011

Enterprise Insurance (EIC) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities hosted three batches of students from the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC), at its Head Office in Accra, to an educative and interactive session with staff and management of EIC.

The students were taken through the principles of insurance and its importance to the lives of individuals and corporate organizations. The students were able to observe first hand, and question what it took to deliver and maintain the great service levels of the Enterprise Brand.

The Head of Business Development and Communications, EIC, Mrs. Phyllis Woode-Nartey, explained that as Ghana’s oldest insurance company, EIC takes pride in positively shaping and influencing the next generation of Ghanaian Leaders. She expressed the hope that the interactive session that took place would help the young students aim for greater heights, challenge the status quo and come up with new, faster and more efficient business solutions. She emphasized that the future belonged to young people who prepared themselves adequately by working hard, acquiring necessary skill sets and were willing to think out of the box.

The students were advised to stay focused, to work very Hard and to always live by EIC’s Core Values of SERVICE, INTEGRITY AND PRUDENCE.
Sharing their experiences after the tour the students were excited about to be practically introduced to insurance in Ghana’s first and oldest insurance company. They were grateful to the management and staff of EIC for their time and willingness to give back to society and for encouraging and urging them to always strive to be the best.

EIC renovates Urology Department of Korle-Bu Teaching HospitalPosted Fri, 13th May 2011

As part of its social responsibility activities for the year 2010, Enterprise Insurance Company Limited (EIC) has renovated the lavatories and shower areas of the Urology Department, Kor-le Bu Teaching Hospital. The total cost of the project is estimated at GH¢38,000 and represents the single largest project EIC has undertaken so far in its corporate social responsibility association with the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital over the past years.

Handing over the project, Mr Kwame Ofori, Executive Director of EIC indicated that since 2004, EIC had embarked on various projects within Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, some of which included the donation of medical equipment worth GH¢17,500 to the Childrens’ Ward in 2008, the donation of medical equipment worth GH¢17,000 to the Urology Department as well as financial support of GH¢ 5,000 to the Ghana Heart Foundation. He emphasized that Enterprise Insurance placed great importance on how it could positively be a source of inspiration and support to the underprivileged in society, as well contribute to national development especially in the areas of Health and Education. This he said, explained EIC’s unwavering support for the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital over the past years, and informed EIC’s decision to renovate the washrooms of the Urology Department.

The Chief Executive Officer of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Professor Nii Otu Nartey receiving the project expressed gratitude to EIC for its consistent contribution to the development of the hospital. He gave the assurance that the renovated facility would be properly maintained and put to good use.
